The list of bestselling films at Iranian box office for September 27-October 3, 2018, has been unveiled with ‘Sheeple' shining on the top.
'Sheeple' by Houman Seyyedi (Weekly gross: 18,518,530,000, Total gross: 20,101,330,000), 'Millipede' by Abolhassan Davoudi (Weekly gross: 4,123,870,000 Rials, Total gross: 360,244,230,000 Rials), 'Cold Sweat' by Soheil Beiraqi (Weekly gross: 2,893,670,000 Rials, Total gross: 3,205,680,000 Rials), 'Hashtag' by Rahim Behboudifar (Weekly gross: 2,853,290,000 Rials, Total gross: 3,277,200,000 Rials), and 'The Lost Strait' by Bahram Tavakkoli (Weekly gross: 2,476,920,000 Rials, Total gross: 47,429,970,000 Rials).
“Two brothers are running and making Crystal meth in a hidden laboratory in middle of nowhere at an urban jungle and they do care for the honor of their neighborhood. All of a sudden a mobile footage on their sister’s spreading everywhere and this causes some strange incidents,” a short synopsis of the 'Sheeple' reads.
“Reza, a criminal, finds out that a rich female doctor at war veteran hospital vows to marry a veteran. Reza who is an amputee without a leg wants to marry the doctor. However, things get out of hand in the middle,” a short synopsis for 'Millipede' reads.
'Cold Sweat' is a film that focuses on women rights and shows a women futsal team while one of the team members who is travel-banned has to deal with a challenge at the airport.
'Hashtag' depicts some family issues such as the effect of internet and smart phones on family relations.
'The Lost Strait' depicts how Iran’s Ammar battalion battled against the Iraqi forces in an unequal encounter in the Abu Ghuraib Strait near Dehloran in Iran’s Ilam Province.
